lamborghini avantador S
The Lamborghini Aventador S is the next-generation version of the iconic V12 flagship supercar, succeeding the original Aventador.
It features a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 740 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in approximately 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
Key technological upgrades include four-wheel steering, a significantly enhanced suspension, redeveloped electronics, and new aerodynamic styling for improved downforce and handling. The car also features a new EGO driving mode which allows the driver to customize individual settings for the engine, transmission, steering, and suspension.
The Aventador S was introduced in December 2016 as the major mid-cycle update for Lamborghini's flagship V12 model, the Aventador.
The "S" stands for an enhanced and evolved version, bringing several key upgrades:
Power Boost: The $6.5\text{-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine was tuned to produce 740 hp, a 40 hp increase over the standard model.
Four-Wheel Steering: It was the first production Lamborghini to feature this system, drastically improving handling, agility at low speeds, and stability at high speeds.
Aerodynamics: The front and rear ends were redesigned for more aggressive looks and a significant boost in downforce (up to 130% more at the front).
New Driving Mode: It introduced the EGO driving mode, allowing drivers to customize settings for the engine, steering, and suspension individually.
In 2017, Lamborghini also released the convertible version, the Aventador S Roadster. The Aventador S cemented the model's status as a top-tier supercar before the final, more extreme versions of the Aventador lineup were released.
